vmax.fits
Contains the maximum volume over which each galaxy in a subsample
is observable, given the flux and redshift limits. The header
indicates what it assumes about the evolution (in the Q0, Q1 and QZ0
header cards).
The columns are:
- ZMIN_LOCAL: The minimum redshift observable for a galaxy
with this absolute magnitude in this direction (i.e. with the bright
limit in this direction).
- ZMAX_LOCAL: The maximum redshift observable for a galaxy
with this absolute magnitude in this direction (i.e. with the bright
limit in this direction).
- VMAX: The total volume over which this galaxy is
observable in the current subsample (accounting for the fact that
other directions may have different flux limits)
- ABSM: The absolute magnitude of the galaxy
