object_twomass.fits

This file contains 2MASS Extended Source Catalog results for objects matched to the object_sdss_imaging file.

The columns of this file are named using the same conventions as in the 2MASS database. See the Explanatory Supplement to the 2MASS All Sky Data Release for details on the meanings of the columns.

We do not include all of the columns; if you want some we have not included, please ask us for them. The columns we do include are:

This file only contains matches to object_sdss_imaging objects. In order to access the full catalog, look in the file:

$VAGC_REDUX/twomass/twomass_catalog.fits

The file object_twomass.fits has a column TWOMASS_POSITION which yields the zero-indexed position in the full twomass_catalog.fits file.
